The Church Needs Qualified Leaders Part 2

Series: 1 Timothy

In spite of what the world might say, character does count. In this important passage about elders (overseers), Paul lists a number of character qualities that should describe an overseer in God’s church.

Whenever we see a high standard placed before us it should drive us to the cross and to the One who never failed to meet the standard. Jesus Christ is our righteousness, not how well we maintain a set of standards. In Him, we will find the strength to obey His commands.
