There is a wonderful prayer for the people of God that makes up the bulk of Daniel 9. It is often overlooked because of the last four verses of the chapter (the prophesy of the 70 weeks).

The church today is in need of much prayer and we can learn a great deal about how best to pray for her from examining Daniel’s prayer for the people of God. May this passage spur you to fervent, bold prayer for the bride of Christ, the church.
