The truth is under attack. It was in Ephesus in the first century and it still is today. Paul now comes back to the issue of false teachers for the third time in this letter to Timothy. We see in this passage three ways that we can guard the truth:

1) By our actions (6:1-2)
2) By identifying and rejecting false teachers (6:3-5)
3) By being ever vigilant to guard the truth (6:20-21)
