Paul explained to the Romans Jews that neither their heritage nor their circumcision would save them on the last day. They were under the impression that because they were Jews they would be treated differently on the day of judgment.

What they didn’t understand was that being a true Jew was not about externals, but was a matter of the heart. This truth is still applicable to us today.
