There are those who read Romans 1:18-32 and say, “Yes, those sinners really deserve the wrath of God”. Paul seems to have anticipated this kind of response from the Jews and possibly moralizing Gentiles and addresses them in chapter 2. In this chapter, Paul turns on self-righteous people who judge others for being sinners and shows them the true state of their situation.
