Rom 1:18-32 The Wrath of God Against Sin

In the verses just prior to today’s text Paul expressed his strong desire to preach the gospel in Rome. Now in the second half of Romans 1 he shows why this gospel is so desperately needed. As you remember, we are calling the section “Righteousness Needed” and it will be very clear why it is called this…even in the very first verse of the section. Verse 18 acts as a header to the entire section which begins here at Romans 1:18 and runs through 3:20.

We need the gospel because of sin and our own lack of personal righteousness.
